Consumer diversity

When it comes down to targeting consumers, companies tend to cluster in order to be more accurate when marketing their product. There are six major aspects of consumer diversity that help narrow down options for companies to catch the interest of consumers. Some of these aspects are age, gender, and sexual orientation. When it comes to age groups the most important groups are teens and millennials, Generation X, baby boomers, and seniors over 65.

The targets

Audi is known to target young buyers, with nearly one-fourth being 16-35-year-old. This turns out to be the largest percentage of the four premium brands. The four premium brands being Audi, Cadillac, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz. There has also been an increase of from 33.2 to 34.2 within a year of women buyers for Audi. Audi picked its audience and by the looks of it, it is doing a great job in marketing to these groups.
